I read there's few days ago that USSR's jeeps were in reality jeeps of the
US army. USSR had none build by themselves because it would had mean to
stop (or slowing down) building of the T.4 Tanks because there were not
enough factory units.
But is it true... not sure. But I'm encouraging you to make some
researches on that matter; maybe you could find it on the "World War II
Magazine" or if you read french, it was on the "2e guerre mondiale"
published last months.
