Frankly, it is your post sounds like propaganda.

Remember that "Palestine" did not exist. At that time it was a
territory pending disposition.

The crowded shipboard conditions you justify were intended to be very
temporary for a short voyage. The interception significantly delayed
that voyage.

There was no "country".

More significantly, things were certainly NOT fine in their own
countries. The camps were not destroyed, just shut down. The people
were now living in "displaced persons" camps where conditions were
quite brutal. Just because the Nazis were defeated did not mean the
hatred of the people against Jews suddenly went away. Their homes,
towns, families, assets, everything, was destroyed. The people in
their "own countries" were glad to see them go.
