It certainly is, and I haven't said anything at all about sound
generalship
(and likely won't). I was trying to establish that there was indeed a
period
when Patton and Montgomery were at the same command level, a fact
that the OP seemed unaware of.

I, Narr, was asking the OP to clarify what thrashing he was talking
about, and theorized that he had Kasserine in mind. No other event
came to my mind, and yes, I knew that Fredendall was in charge, not
Patton.
