I would like to know more about why you believe this to be true. I will
not argue the "important" part, but would like to understand the basis
for my father being unable to form a valid judgment of the general
officers put over him. This seems for you to be some trivial deduction
from a general premise such the inferiors cannot judge superiors. That
is, your argument is not about my father in particular, but rather, that
no subordinate can form a valid judgment about a superior. You may
possibly hold that this is true in any hierarchical institution. I
wonder if this can possibly be true as a general principle since the
inferiors of today become the superiors of tomorrow perhaps in part
because of their excellent judgment of their superiors.
