Roberts Roberts if you do not want to deduce anything from Einstein's
1911 equation c'=3Dc(1+V/c^2), you and Superior Brother Steve Carlip
could at least comment on the simplest textbook exercise introducing
GRAVITATIONAL TIME DILATION - the fundamental camouflage of the
variability of the speed of light (as you know, this variability is
the real cause of the gravitational redshift):

A light source at the top of a tower of height h emits flashes at time
intervals t_s. A receiver on the ground receives the flashes at time
intervals t_r. What is t_r in terms of t_s?

Textbooks in Einstein zombie world deduce:

t_r =3D ct_s / (c + gh/c)

Textbooks in a world different from Einstein zombie world would
deduce:

t_r =3D t_s
