A young man having recently returned home after some years of higher
learning bumped into his old high school physics teacher on the street.
After happily exchanging greetings the teacher asked the student,
"So, what have you learned since I last saw you?"
"There is much I could tell you teach, but I don't think you would
understand much of it." the student replied.
"Try me". says teach.
"Well, you know, much of what you taught me was not really correct. I've
learned that once you know enough you can explain away much of what is
believed to be concrete reality.
"Example?" asks the teacher.
"Well, if you give me an hour or so I can prove mathematically that your
even nose isn't real he says.
Suddenly the teacher smacks the student sharply on the nose.
"Why did you do that?" the student asks.
"Do what?" the teacher asks.
"Punch me on the nose!!" exclaims the student.
"What nose?" asks the old teach.
