Subject: 2D, vortexes and dynamic surfaces

i'm a physicist who hasn't yet found CFD able of solving any problems
i've come up against, and don't think this one is possible yet, but
thought i'd ask to see if that has changed;

in detail, im looking to model;

air flow, only in 2D, but with good modelling of vortexes, so
obviously its not steady state, and ideally some simple dynamics build
into the surfaces, ie acceleration in reaction to force etc.

any hope?
