Philippines are so named for Philip II (Spain) of Armada fame, the
would-be king of England either through his marriage to MQS or the
1588 invasion had it materialized/succeeded.

So Shakespeare had no good reason to promote Philip or his wars or
territories.
He was their CHAOS.
