I dare them to try this. I double dare them.

As I remember it, the Republican Congress agreed to the sunset
provision as a compromise to get the bill passed. I further remember
that the Republican who then ran Congress thinking that a sunset
provision would give the GOP a great campaign issue when the time came
to debate whether to renew them. They knew exactly what they were
doing.

You need to find a way to stop allowing yourself to be tricked by
Obama's jedi mind tricks. I want my old Agent Cooper back, dammit.
