I was paraphrasing the Objectivist claim to knowledge
of idea political and economic system. Something I don't
agree with.

But to answer you question, I blame
political conflict on religion and other falsely certain beliefs.

As to aestheitcs, there is no accounting for taste -
it is a corollary of free will.
