If you are referring to the twice daily canings, no.
Actually it was not too arduous. Mainly consisted of fetching and
cleaning. Didn't have too sadistic a prefect, so it was OK, I
suppose. And who am I to argue with tradition? If something has been
done for more than a century what's wrong with another years or two of
the same?
