Subject: Re: But who was the well-wishing adventurer?

Just dropping in to repeat my observation that TT put his initials
last to make himself both the well-wishing adventurer in setting forth
(on his publishing venture) and to sign his dedication. No mystery
whatever, as far as I'm concerned. One addition--that your re-write
separates the two instances of "wish" that it seems to me Thorpe
wanted close together. Oh, and why would the dedicatee know who made
the dedication? "Well-wishing adventurer in setting forth" is much
too vague to specify an unnamed person, it seems to me.
