So much for the road map to peace.

Smiles and talk of peace in front of the cameras.... and when they
stop rolling keep building [illegal] settlements and making conditions
harsher for the native Palestinians.. Since not everyone is a pacifist
the Israel government knows full well the ultimate outcome of this
will be more Israeli deaths.... which history seems to show they will
then exploit to make the Palestinians even more unwelcome and take
even more land at the end of musket.

I have to ask how would Americans react if someone was imposing
aparteid rules on them, expropriating their property, and even
killing them?

As a foreigner that has lived in two different countries (both
generally friendly to the US).....IMO the double standard America has
shown up to now to an oppressive Israeli government is what is killing
it's credibility both among it's allies and muslims alike. It makes
America look like it's being controlled by an unholy alliance of
extremist Christians and Jews looking to match foreign policy to
religious scripture.....and ultimately leaving the door open for
Muslim extremism to grow as a counter reaction.

IMO....Americans (including Christian and Jewish ones) have to stop
funding this nonsense or else it will end very poorly for them, This
isn't 16th century America where native Indian massacres by European
colonists could be swept under the rug. Camera's are recording
everything and many Muslims believe they are being colonized by force.
By not respecting their sovereignty (and property rights) we are
putting them into a corner and fueling their own religious extremists.
Constantinople was once in a position like this.

Mark my words.... the Muslim world will ultimately end up with the
bomb if this behavior continues unabated.
