Description: The job holder participates in the technical design, development, and implementation of distributed application systems. S/he utilizes various programming languages to develop distributed applications, creates test transactions, and writes documentation that describes installation and operating procedures. S/he also utilizes standard procedures and techniques to write new programs of moderate complexity. S/he develops and makes technical recommendations for distributed applications that support organizational needs. Minimum 2 - 4 years experience required. Job holder must have thorough knowledge of companys IT infrastructure and daily operations and understand the impact of planned changes. S/he must have knowledge about the functions and features of multiple modern and traditional structured methods for developing applications. S/he must also have in-depth experience with distributed applications. Job holder must be knowledgeable about major tools in a toolkit for a specific platform and features of multiple toolkits. S/he must be experienced at addressing a variety of hardware, software, and communications malfunctions.
