Position Summary:



Reviews, analyzes or modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging or installing to support enterprise application systems.  Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify objectives of proposed (new) business processes, as appropriate.  Works with or helps define software systems requirements based on business needs.



Education:



Bachelors degree in Information Systems, any physical science discipline or Engineering preferred.  Associates degree in Computer Science or certification in a software programming language at minimum.



Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)



Experience:



Experience in IT software development and/or systems engineering, preferably in a manufacturing business.



Working knowledge of relational databases, object oriented (OO) software engineering



Working knowledge of MS Visual Basic 6.0, MS Visual Basic 2005, ASP, ADO, MS SQL Server 2005, MSDE, and MS Access.



Working knowledge of the .NET framework.



Working knowledge of multi-valued and Pick-style databases.



Demonstrated ability to adapt to an evolving enterprise system architecture



Excellent interpersonal as well as oral and written communication skills.



Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional



Essential Responsibilities / Functions:

· Produce documentation to describe software requirements, development plan, logic coding, corrections or test plans.



· Produce functional specifications for buying 3rd party software, hardware, firmware or programming services



· Produce user manuals to run or install applications



· Create training documents as required



· Utilize SDLC methodologies in preparing or modifying scalable system solutions.
