PRIMARY PURPOSE OR POSITION OBJECTIVES



An Operational Developer’s duty is to perform various critical coding activities in support of firm’s software implementations, professional services and application support. As a general matter, Operational Development involves writing custom code sections to support a wide variety of business rules and reporting needs. They may also be involved, to varying degrees, in ancillary tasks including research, analysis, design, unit testing, and modeling.



Operational Developers - .Net (C#) are expected to be fluent in C#, the .Net framework, ADO.NET, data-centric programming techniques, SQL Server/T-SQL, general principles of object oriented design and development, and have a strong working knowledge of data manipulation techniques.





ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and code new software utilities and rules per instruction and/or specifications

• Produce solid code under tight deadlines

• Effective and constructive collaboration with implementation and professional services personnel

• Locate and fix (debug) anomalies and other problems with existing software as directed

• Add enhancements and new features to software utilities and rules per specification

• Perform R&D, documentation, testing, analysis, design, and other related tasks as directed



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

Education: B/S or Equiv. Experience



Specialized Knowledge: High Level Coding knowledge in .NET

Solid knowledge of TSQL /SQL Server (2000/2005)



Previous Experience: 2+ Years in C# / .NET, SQL Server, ADO.NET



“Plus” Skills/Knowledge: Web Services/XML/MCF

ASP .NET, Oracle, Visual FoxPro

XSL-FO/PDF Rendering/Automated Typesetting

Electronic Filing & File Transport (over Internet)

Accounting Software/Systems
