Description: Our client, an established global leader in the chemical manufacturing arena, currently has an opening for a Senior SAP ABAP Programmer / Analyst. Job Responsibilities:
- Support existing SAP system and continue to rollout future releases.
- Participate in upgrade work.
- Work with business analysts, and customers to understand business users requirements for new ABAP reports, interfaces, conversion programs and forms.
- Code, test, analyze and implement applications (and changes to existing applications) and evaluate their performance.
- Work with business analysts to determine source of system and development errors and determine solutions.
- Review, modify, and performance-tune existing applications.
- Generate documentation for new and existing applications.
- Coach other developers/analysts.

Required Skills:
- Must have a minimum of five years experience in SAP, preferrably across SD, MM, PP, PM and FI modules (and at minimum, two of those areas).
- Full implementation life-cycle experience is required.
- Solid technical and functional background in R3 4.7 or greater.
- Extensive knowledge of ABAP development workbench, dictionary, SAPscript, Report Writing and the ability to design complex interfaces that include BDCs, Call Transactions, User Exits, RFC, ABAP Query, BAPIs and ABAP Objects. Experience in EDI and IDOC are a plus.
- Candidate with SAP ( 4.7 or ECC 5.0 version) experience will be given more preference.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Good analytical skills, ability to understand functional specifications and translate them to interfaces, reports and forms.
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently, even when detailed instructions are not provided.
- Must also have demonstrated ability to work within a team to accomplish goals and milestones.
