Description: Our client, a large manufacturing organization is looking for an AS/400 programmer to permanently join their team. On a day to day basis this person will be responsible for supporting both new and current applications, as well as programming modification or enhancements to new or existing systems. This person will also manage and assign work to other developers within the group and will be responsible for system design and for documenting system changes and update Sarbanes-Oxley controls. To be qualified for this position candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience in large-scale systems planning, analysis and development projects. The ideal candidate will also have a good understanding of business process and reengineering concepts as well as good leadership abilities. This person must have experience with RPG and CL programming on an AS/400. This is a permanent opportunity and is commutable from both Rochester or Syracuse, NY.
