Position Description: To be classified into this level, the employees primary responsibility must be to consult with clients to determine their business-related web site needs, and to develop and build web sites and/or portals that allow internal and external users to access and use web-enabled applications. Assist Web Site Developer Senior in implementing more complex initiatives. Related responsibilities typically include the following: Evaluate systems specifications for client area(s) web site requirements, including CBT, help files, on-line quizzies and surveys, and digitized video presentations. Develop and prepare web page (software and graphics) solutions WOrk with othre areas/companies in development, creation and maintenance of web sites. Analyze web software/packages and develop new web tools for use by staff, internal, and external clients May work with technical staff as appropriate in the testing of program and system modifications/package changes. Troubleshoot and resolve problems involving Internet or Intranet sites. Ensure adherence to system quality assurance installation and security policies and standards. Maintain knowledge of industry trends, directions, and technologies. Perform related duties as assigned or requested. Requirements: 2 years specific experience in web tolls and web page development or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with secure application intergration including Authentication, Certificates, SSI, Netegrity and LDAP Understanding of MS Active Server Pages, Allaire Cold Fusion, Netscape Application Server, or Oracle Application Server Implementation experience with Broadvision or Vignette Story Server personalization servers. Experience in implementing secure Internet and/or Intranet application and common services on hardware architecture that includes NT 4.0, Windows 2000, UNIX or LINUX servers Implementation exp. with JAVA and JAVA Servlets Experience in implementing source control backup and recovery procedures Ability to provide technical skills to isolate and solve web site related issues Understanding of HTML, VBScript, JavaScript, DHTML, XML, and XSL presentation languages, FTP and PDF/FDF document formet Ability to implement common services utilizing MS Site Server or Verity for Search Engines and websites statistics utilizing Hit List Pro or Web Trends Ability to implement graphically intuitive websites to support both MS Internet Explorer and Netscape browers Analytical verbal and written communications skills
