`Group Summary:

The Quant Equity IT team supports Investment Bank Quant Equity business. The Quant Equity business uses quantitative modeling to construct equity portfolios with the goal of maximizing return and minimizing risk. The business is process-driven and relies heavily on automation; the IT team enables this in a scalable fashion. Our systems cover the entire investment process from research/modeling, portfolio construction, trade execution to marketing and client reporting.



The candidate will fill the role of a Support Analyst/Developer. The candidate will be required to deal with day-to-day running and maintenance of our systems. This involves intra day support and tactical enhancements that are required to service the business’ immediate needs. This role provides the candidate an opportunity to work with world renowned researchers, portfolio managers and traders, and offers him/her an in-depth look into the world of quantitative portfolio management.



Responsibilities:

• Understand business flows and system architecture

• Maintain and enhance various QE systems

• Build relationships with business users



Must Have Skills/Experience:

• Strong technical skills in Sybase, perl, java

• Strong analytical skills with an interest in learning the Quant business

• Excellent verbal and communication skills

• Ability to work in a flexible environment and adapt to changing requirements and priorities

• Good team player

• Strong initiative and ownership

• 3-4 years of tech experience
