Apply for this job: Your application choices are: * Apply for this jobonline * Send your resume as an attachment viae-mail * More information about this job: Responsibilities: Lead and contribute directly to the day-to-day technical development, support and build-out of our back office services such as portfolio accounting & financial reporting. This role will also be responsible for leading our data warehouse design and development initiative that will create a basis for self service reporting to both internal users as well as external clients. Qualified individuals will have a demonstrated track record and experience across all aspects of the software development lifecycle. This position will work closely with accounting and treasury personnel to understand their requirements, implement solutions and support Geneva as our portfolio accounting system and financial reporting service to our hedge fund customers. Strategically, this individual will work with the CTO, architecture team and the firm's infrastructure to devise and execute our data warehouse strategy. • Analyze, design, code and test Advent Geneva reports using RSL. • Design, build and support investment, trade and price interfaces to Geneva from upstream trading and operational systems. • Design, build and support a post processing data warehouse utilizing Oracle, Cognos and ETL tools. • Facilitate smooth deployment and stabilization of new functionality by coordinating with vendors, infrastructure and DBA teams. • Adopt and ensure adherence to the firm's technology standards & process governance practices. • Innovative problem solving that can quickly prototype solutions and manage their full-scale development. • Promote and ensure software reuse and modularity. • Perform application development and support in a manner that is on time, on budget, and on scope. • Periodically review technology solutions looking for opportunities to improve existing performance and capabilities.

Qualifications: Highly motivated individual and team-player with extensive Geneva and data warehousing experience for both hands on development as well as building/mentoring a small team to service our back office portfolio accounting and data warehousing requirements. Skills: • Working knowledge of portfolio accounting, instrument valuation and P&L reporting • Working knowledge of derivatives and financial instruments often used in hedge fund trading and hedging strategies • 3+ years data architecture and design • 3+ years creating Geneva financial reports using RSL • 2+ years Solaris • 2+ years UNIX scripting and Perl • 5+ years SQL development and database design (Oracle highly desirable) • 2+ years with Cognos reporting tools or similar • 2+ years experience with ETL tools • Excellent communication skills • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar required
