Description: Posting Job Title Sr Programming Manager, Black Voices TimeWarner Division AOL Brand AOL Location United States - New York - New York Requisition # 90634BR Position Type Fixed Term Posting Job Description AOL is looking for a Web-savvy individual with senior editorial experience in Daily News. In a producer-type capacity, oversee the planning, development, quality standards, and creation of content and programs, to ensure that they are in perspective and running efficiently. Plan and update daily editorial using original programming, interactive tools and integrated licensed content. Work to improve and evolve channel, user experience and garner interest and excitement through frequent updates, user interactivity, promotions, etc. Monitor program quality, lead problem solving efforts, and preserve the creative environment for the channel. Responsibilities include: * Work with Director on overall strategy and implementation of strategy * Manage current and foster new relationships with content partners * Coordinate the activities of various professionals, individual contributors and bloggers to meet project deadlines and budgets * Create editorial calendar * Research and present ideas for original content and programs * Ensure the timely completion and delivery of programs * Work with Director and sales on new Franchise opportunities * Lead for SEO * Review and interpret member activity data and draw conclusions regarding their implication on programming operations and placement decisions * Make data-driven programming decisions * Manage Programming Manager(s) * Work with sales to maximize revenue * Communicate with business strategy and product development to ensure designs and implementation of new programs comply with channel standards * Oversee promotion efforts of the channel Qualifications: * Minimum of 4-6 years directly related experience preferably with supervisory experience * Strong editorial experience in News. * Strong project management experience * Background in consumer magazine or dailies publishing or online industry * Understand the medium, industry, market and the audience * Strong writing, editing and promotional skills. * Possesses the ability to develop and maintain networking relationships both internally and externally. * Demonstrates AOLs vision, values and principles.
