The Clinical SAS Programmer is responsible for providing programming support across multiple clinical projects. Responsibilities include planning, development, maintenance and quality assurance of programs and processes to extract data from eCDM system in the form of data listings, summary tables and reports using SAS. Many custom derivations and data transformations will also be the responsibility of the Clinical SAS Programmer. The Programmer will take responsibilities in the development of programming conventions, work flow and SOPs to streamline the Data Outputs operation. Responsibilities will include: . ?• Generate patient data listings, summary tables and reports using SAS. . ?• Perform validation/quality control check of SAS programs. . ?• Handle complex SAS programming issues independently, perform independent database and CRF, review to ensure programming consistency, and be familiar with all study programming issues. ?• Work with client representatives to define data output specifications in the form of a data transfer plan Configure SQL queries to meet customer requirements ?• Use RAVE to perform data warehousing operations including data mapping, transformation and derivations, data definition, etc. ?• Provide data verification and problem resolution ?• Train client representatives to configure outputs Requirements: Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 yrs of SAS programming experience including: SAS Macros, SAS/SQL, and SAS procedures. Must have clinical database experience. Bachelors degree in Information Management or Computer Science with pharmaceutical/clinical trial experience is desired, must have excellent oral and written communication skills. ?• SAS Programming Skills including SAS/Macros, SAS/SQL and SAS Procedures ?• Strong MS SQL skills ?• Excellent verbal and written communication skills ?• Solid analytical and technical skills ?• Experience supporting project teams and meeting project timelines ?• Excellent organizational and time management skills ?• Self-motivating, able to assume responsibility and work autonomously in a professional manner ?• Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks ?• Strong work ethic * C#, Oracle Clinical, MS Access, .Net and Visual SourceSafe are all considered a strong plus
