Responsibilities: . Report to the Head of Quantitative Research . Automate aspects of the portfolio construction process . Enhance and automate monthly risk reports . Develop and link databases containing manager characteristics and performance . Automate the collection and analysis of manager holdings data . Support the creation and maintenance of investment research materials that includes qualitative and quantitative analyses . Assist on quantitative research projects Qualifications: . Strong programming skills in C++ and Visual Basic . Experience writing code in either SAS or S-Plus . Experience working with databases, including SQL . Strong quantitative background, either in mathematics, science or engineering . Some knowledge of statistics and finance preferred, but not essential . Interested in a future in this specialized part of finance . Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and Bloomberg or FactSet . Team player, motivated, self-confident, effective communicator (oral and written skills),willing to learn and accept constructive feedback
