Description: Our client is a leader in the Investment Banking industry. Requirements Job Description: A developer in this team is responsible for designing and developing highly efficient and scalable applications to maintain huge databases and provide the accurate data to various parties. As this team is responsible for distributing data to various parties and gets to interact with many teams, the developer needs to have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) to efficiently perform their day to day functions. In order to serve the ever demanding client base in this business, the person needs to have strong technical skills and needs to be able to adapt to new technologies quickly as and when the need arises. The client base for this business is globally situated and hence the system operates on 24 X 7 basis. Since this job entails solving many challenging problems, the candidate is expected to have good analytical skills.



Experience/Skills:

• Experience in designing systems, experience in system architecture

• Ability to function as part of a team and build relationships with other teams and peers

• Ability to think strategically and leverage new technologies

• Strong ownership and communication skills

• Database Skills (Sybase preferred, or other RDBMS)

• Programming Skills: Java preferred (C/C++ (legacy code), Perl, Java)

• Experience in Global/Trade Settlement Systems is a plus
