Description: Our client is a leader in the Investment Banking industry. This position is in the Private Wealth Management area of a premier investment firm located in New York City. There will be a special interview hiring day on Wednesday 3/5/08. Candidates MUST be available all day on 3/5/08 for interviewing.



Role Summary:



• Design / Develop / Enhance / Support new amp; existing web-based applications

• Gather functional requirements from business users

• Analyze requirements and translate into technical solutions

• QA/regression testing, and installation

• Provide support for business users and clients

Required Tech Skills

• At least 5+ years experience of developing distributed Java applications in a financial services company

• Experience in a Private Wealth Management (PWM) environment is highly preferred

• Strong object oriented design skills

• Experience with middle tier development: ability to code business logic within software

• A mix of core Java development coupled with J2EE application suite (JBoss, Weblogic)

• Strong knowledge of SQL (Sybase preferred, or DB2, or Oracle)

• Experience in GUI development ( HTML, panels, JSP)

• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to multi task
