A division of Kaplan Test Prep and Kaplan Inc., Kaplan K12 works closely with our school partners to build proficiency in reading and mathematics, improve performance on state tests, and increase college opportunities. The K12 division is a fast paced and rapidly growing part of Kaplans business.

Kaplan K12 Learning Services, a division of Kaplan Inc., seeks a full-time Mathematics Curriculum Developer to design and develop instructional materials for students and teachers. Responsibilities: . Develop student and teacher curricular resources . Work as a part of a team of curriculum developers to improve instructional approaches and assessment practices . Write model lessons and style guides for writers to follow . Manage a team of writers and editors . Oversee multiple projects from conception to production Position Requirements and/or Skills Required: . 3-5 years classroom teaching experience is required . Bachelors degree in Mathematics Education (Masters degree preferred) . Subject matter expertise in mathematics, including strategies for addressing the needs of students not meeting grade level content standards, English language learners, nonstandard English speakers, and/or students with disabilities . Superb written communication skills . Excellent computer skills, particularly in Outlook and MS Word. Familiarity with Adobe InCopy or InDesign a plus, but not required. . Great organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous tasks and details simultaneously . Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a diverse, off-site team The position is at our downtown Manhattan office. We offer a competitive salary with excellent benefits including: .
