The more you know about animation, the better. However, you've got to know AS2 top to bottom and have a thorough understanding of OOP. Oh, and if you're all up in AS3 and Flex, well then you'll really get our attention. XML and Flash Video? Maybe you can hear us salivating. With a designer's eye, you should be able to code movement and interaction to create a dynamic and scalable environment. Note: if you feel like you could either be a full-on Flash Developer or a Flash Designer, but you walk the middle of the road and somehow bring it all together, then X marks the spot. We are seeking an entrepreneurial Freelance Flash Developer to join our rapidly growing Technology team. Got a portfolio? Sweet. Your coding practices must be locked-down and heavily standardized. Use of design patterns is a definite plus. We want your math skills, like trig and geometry, in order to create an atmosphere that's really immersive. We are seeking Flash Developers to deliver award-winning creative for our expanding stable of clients-from L'Oreal to Ford, Polo to Condé Nast, Universal Music Group and beyond. Responsibilities: • Being responsible for executing through code complex designs that reflect the creative and art direction provided within the established technical framework • Creating all coded Presentation Layer deliverables • Working as a team member on large accounts, understanding how a team operates and what is expected of the various roles on the project • Shifting between a creative and a technical focus depending on the project need and/or the type of project • Establishing front-end technology requirements • Rapidly producing interim deliverables (such as style guide components, technical specifications, prototypes, proofs of concept, etc.) in addition to the final live site or application. • Participating in writing detailed level technical and functional specifications documentation • Taking initiative to research and learn emerging technologies

Qualifications: • An advanced knowledge of Flash MX and Actionscript 2.0 as well as demonstrated abilities in such areas as: • Image/animation size optimization • XML data import • Flash/javascript communication • Object-oriented development • Advanced experience hand-coding D/XHTML, JavaScript and CSS • Intermediate experience using ASP, ASP.Net, JSP, PHP or other frameworks used to develop dynamic web pages • Experience with XML: XSLT, DTD or Schema modeling, DOM/XPath/SAX parsing • Exposure to portal server products or content management systems (CMS) ideal • User Interface Design, Information Architecture, graphic design experience a plus • Understanding of good design principles and ability to adhere to complex design specifications during implementation • Experience developing and testing across multiple browsers, platforms, DOM implementations, etc. • Demonstrated ability to accurately estimate and scope development work • Strong attention to detail. • Strong written & oral communication skills. • Willingness to travel.
