Posting Job Title Developer, Web (IT, SNYC) TimeWarner Division Time Warner Cable Location United States - New York - New York Requisition # 91801BR Position Type Full Time Posting Job Description Essential Job Function Will be expected to design, develop implement and manage a variety of web based solutions to streamline business processes. Create and enhance in-house tools to manage web site operations. Produce and maintain clean, high quality, standards compliant code. Implement cross-browser/cross-platform UI compatibility and troubleshoot associated issues. Maintain cutting edge knowledge of current and emerging technologies, industry trends and standards. Work in conjunction with other teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of web-based applications and communicate technical parameters and constraints to relevant teams. Customize, compile, install, configure, monitor and debug web server instances. Troubleshoot issues with web servers, application server, databases, and web technologies. Perform software installations and upgrades to Web servers and software packages in accordance with established policies, procedures and internal service agreements. Conducts routine hardware and software audits of UNIX web servers for compliance with established standards, policies, procedures and configuration guidelines. Work closely with the networking and database teams to maintain the integrity of web servers and accessibility of web applications. Content updates for existing websites and applications. Respond to trouble tickets related to web applications and user issues. Must be able to proficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Job Requirements/Qualifications Must have a Bachelors degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university in Computer Science or related degree. Masters degree preferred. Five or more years experience in MIS/IS/IT. Three to five years of professional internet development Expertise in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Cold fusion, Oracle, is required, and experience with DHTML, PERL, PHP, CGI, MySql and Flash is preferred. Candidate must show an aptitude for detail. They should display leadership skills such as taking proper responsibility, pursuing solutions to problem, displaying resourcefulness towards accomplishing given task or goals. . Knowledge of network protocols. Experience with SUN Solaris and high availability environments. Ability to write scripts in one or more of the common languages - Bourne, C-Shell, Perl, etc. Knowledge of UNIX web server management/configuration, (apache, tomcat, iplanet). Must be internet and web Technology certified. Project management and communications experience preferred.
