Sr. Software Engineer - Algorithmic Trading



need heavy C++ Unix developers

Responsibilities: We have an opportunity for a professional, results-driven software engineer to develop sophisticated software solutions for a mission critical UNIX based trading system. This position will be accountable for analyzing requirements, modeling designs, developing C/C++ solutions, adhering to department development and testing standards including building comprehensive unit tests and participating in peer design/code reviews. The incumbent in this role will be responsible for coaching team members and actively participating in team problem solving and will be a member of a large team of high performing engineers managed by a strong software development process that fosters growth and creativity. - 4 years extensive C/C++ development experience - Strong memory management and good STL knowledge required - 1 year experience on a single project with a development process - Knowledge and understanding of object-oriented design - Good UNIX skills; scripting a plus - Excellent analytical and problem solving skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision - Strong planning, estimation, and coordination skills - Basic knowledge of the Stock Market and Wall Street trading a plus - BS, MS or equivalent in Computer Science or closely related field preferred.
