Job description:

One of my direct financial clients in Midtown, NYC is looking for a Senior C++ developer to join their Fixed Income/ECN Team! This client is VERY hot to hire, and will begin actively interviewing qualified candidates immediately, as I will be sending resumes directly to the Managing Director! The client is a premiere global investment bank with an outstanding reputation!



Requirements





***The ideal candidate has at least 5-7yrs of IT/Financial experience, with expertise in C++/VC++ Development. In addition, candidate MUST possess several years of proven experience developing electronic trading systems for the financial elite! Candidate have strong experience with multithreading/sockets/connectivity, as well as solid product knowledge in either Fixed Income or Equities. This candidate must have excellent communication/analytical skills and be able to make an immediate impact in this fast-paced environment. More details as follows:



Fixed Income Technology is responsible for the development and support of all front, middle and back office applications and systems that are used to support Fixed Income business globally. Systems supported are a combination of In-house development and vendor applications, using a variety of technologies. The Fixed Income team is comprised of over 200 staff in London, New York, Tokyo and Singapore. The Fixed Income business aims to be one of the leading liquidity providers in the derivatives and the Government bond markets, and to offer an integrated sales, trading and research service to the client base comprising investor business, corporates, financial institutions and hedge funds. The product offering includes Government Bonds, interest rate swaps, basis swaps, interest rate options swaptions, FRAs and caps / floors.



The requirement is for an analyst programmer within the E-Trading team to: * Join a team of analyst/programmers to work on C++ server and client side components *Work on C# client GUI Main Duties Analysis, Development, Testing Would be expected to carry out all steps of the development lifecycle to deliver new versions of IB, namely** * Liaising with business representatives to determine requirements *Analysing those requirements to find the most appropriate method for incorporating them into existing systems



*Experience Required:Strong commercial experience as analyst/developer Experience Preferred:Strong fixed income rates experience, good knowledge of ECNs and MarketView Skills and Knowledge Required:Strong C++, solid STL, Strong C#, Strong experience with relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server), Good exposure to multi-threaded programming Skills and Knowledge Preferred:Working with relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server)



Skills:

C++/VC++(6+yrs), C#/.NET a plus, ECN Trading(1+yrs), Experience with any/all of the following:(brokertec, CBOT, Espeed, Bloomberg, etc...) Excellent communication/analytical skills
