Description: PHP Developer





Fastest-growing and most prominent business websites in the U.S., have an immediate opening for a PHP developer. This person will be responsible for developing and supporting our new social-networking websites, which are in development. The ideal candidate must have experience working in a fast-paced business environment, preferably with experience in online publishing, community websites and social media applications.



Requirements:

• High-level programming and technical skills in PHP, MySQL, Unix/Linux/Apache.

• We seek a highly skilled person with the technical know-how who can help us continue to grow and develop our technology platform.

• 3-8 years of software development experience

• Good communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or computer engineering

Pluses



• Experience with Drupal

• Experience in the media industry.



Team

Currently the team has 3 developers and 3 Production developers (front end). Looking to add 2 people now, Sr. PHP Dev. And a Platform support person.

Why is the position open.

The company is growing, they have 2 new websites being launched and another to be announced soon. Within the next year they plan on launching a new magazine. Currently maintaining 4 active sites,2 Drupal platforms and 2 legacy sites (Fatwire)
