Description: Jobs general purpose: Applicants for this position will under moderate supervision, develop cost-effective information technology solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications that are moderately complex. Applicants are expected to analyze system requirements and existing business processes and information systems. This person will assists in system planning and implementation, initiate corrective action to stay on schedule, code, create prototypes, test, debug, document, and implement moderately complex software applications. Skills: All applicants should be able to: - Ability to design and develop Java business components - Strong understanding of J2EE technologies (EJB, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, JMS) - Strong understanding of the Model-View-Controller design pattern, and the Struts implementation. - Understanding of Java design patterns and implementations. - Solid working knowledge of SQL and JDBC. Oracle experience preferred, but not required. - Experience working with a J2EE Application Server (Web Logic, Web Sphere or JBOSS) - Experience using ANT - Understanding of basic Object Oriented programming concepts Experience: All applicants must have: Worked in a development role for at least 4 years demonstrating experience on developing web-based applications.
