Description: Job Duties:



The Sr. Programmer Analyst works with business representatives, analysts and team members to utilize the UPS processes and requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. The primary goal of the Sr. Programmer Analyst is to work on assignments analyzing business requirements. This position translates requirements to program specifications of moderate to high complexity. They may code and debug programs and develop/execute tests and/or test plans.



The candidate for this position is responsible for the development and support work for the Automotive application groups. This includes new development, maintenance and support of Automotive fleet management system, Automotive Tax System and Automotive Expense System. The candidate will be involved in development and maintenance of COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, batch programming



Knowledge/Skills



Must have strong analytical and programming skills

Ability to communicate orally and in writing with both technical and non-technical staff

Must be able to work well with technical team, business users and end users

Must have experience in all phases of project life cycle development

Must have a working knowledge of MS Office products

Education



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience. Relevant experience of 5+ years in systems analysis and application programming development
