Title: Sr. Programmer Analyst - Mainframe (Payroll)- #20297213

Job Function:

The Sr. Programmer Analyst works with business representatives, analysts and team members to utilize the UPS processes and requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. The primary goal of the Sr. Programmer Analyst is to work on assignments analyzing business requirements. This position translates requirements to program specifications of moderate to high complexity. They code and debug programs and develop/execute tests and/or test plans.

Experience:

• VA-GEN (Visual Age Generator) & Integral Payroll Systems Knowledge Version 9.5 a Plus

• Must have experience in all phases of project life cycle development

• Must have a working knowledge of MS Office products

• Relevant experience of 5+ years in systems analysis and application programming development.

Skills:

• Must have strong analytical and programming skills

• Ability to communicate orally and in writing with both technical and non-technical staff

• Must be able to work well with technical team, business users and end users

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for various components of the Mainframe Payroll Application.

• Responsibilities include maintenance, support and development for the processing within the payroll system.

• Candidate must have Mainframe experience: COBOL, DB2/SQL, JCL, CICS, BMC/IBM DB2 Utilities, Intertest, Expediter, FileAid and IBM MQ.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience.
