Description: The Software Developer in Test will be responsible for testing Infragistics products. S/he will work individually and with other team members.



Essential Duties:



• Execute test plans.

• Design, develop and maintain test applications.

• Create new test requirements and test cases.

• Run existing test cases as necessary.

• Isolate, reproduce and accurately report software defects and deficiencies.

• Verify fixed/newly implemented issues.

• Perform different types of product testing.

• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts.

• Work with the Support team to solve customer issues.

• Provide feedback and suggestions/input on products.

• Represent the customer’s viewpoint for all our products.





General Description:



The Software Developer in Test is responsible for testing products in the Infragistics product line. This involves running existing test cases as needed for regression testing, as well as developing new test applications in the appropriate programming language and creating associated test cases. S/he will be responsible for different types of product testing.





Minimum Requirements & Skills:



• BS required or demonstrated equivalent skills.

• 2-3 years software testing experience with working knowledge of QA practices and methodologies.

• 1-2 years hands-on experience with short Software Development Life Cycles.

• General understanding of defect tracking processes.

• Solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming.

• Strong knowledge of the Visual Studio.NET IDE.

• 1-3 years experience using Infragistics presentation layer products.

• 2-3 years professional programming experience with C#.NET, ASP.NET, VB.NET, JavaScript, Java, XML, HTML/DHTML, SQL.

• Application coding and debugging for either/both Windows Forms and ASP.NET applications.

• Experience with source code management systems and concepts (Microsoft Visual SourceSafe a plus).

• Working experience with test management and automation tools (Mercury Quality Center and QuickTest Professional a plus).

• Knowledge of Microsoft environments, technologies and OSs (Windows NT/2000/XP).

• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (including Outlook, Excel, Word, Access).
