Description: Thomas-Matthew Associates, based out of Newtown, PA is a full service recruiting firm that specializes in providing individual attention to our clients and candidates.



Client is in need of an Sharepoint Admininstrator/Developer to work in the Systems Operations Applications group. Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) and the SharePoint Portal Server (SPS) configuration and programming experience.



Work Summary:

Design, develop, maintain and document SharePoint systems.

Meet with users and gather requirements to develop functional, technical and detailed system design/enhancement specifications.

Analyze user requirements and develop functional specifications. Identify and resolve problems in order to provide continuous business operations.

Participate in business application development through entire life cycle, i.e., designing, programming, testing, implementing and supporting.

The candidate filling this SharePoint position will share SharePoint administrator responsibilities and will also support other applications as they come on line.



This individual will then be:

Backup administrator for ASP hosted Message Labs Instant Messaging and Administrator for Secure FTP



Responsibilities:

Do site backups and restores

Level II help desk tickets – approximately 20 per month

Create and maintain system documentation

Monitor all SharePoint environments and proactively take action to take mitigate potential problems or improve productivity Backup administrator for ASP hosted Message Labs Instant Messaging

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The ideal candidate must have 3-4 years experience with Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) and the SharePoint Portal Server (SPS). Experience with MOSS 2007 is desirable but not required. Must have experience with implementation, testing and deployment of SharePoint projects. Candidate should be a technical expert and a self-starter.



Strong technical background as a SharePoint Consultant will also have a strong business analysis background.

Design, develop, maintain and document existing or proposed systems.

Meet with users and gather requirements to develop functional, technical and detailed system design/enhancement specifications.

Identify and resolve problems in order to provide continuous business operations. Participate in business application development through entire life cycle, i.e., designing, programming, testing, implementing and supporting.

Have SharePoint Portal Server and Windows SharePoint Services architecture experience along with SharePoint Portal Server and Windows SharePoint Services implementation and deployment experience including creation, testing and deployment of custom web parts.

Be thoroughly familiar with SharePoint administration including backup and restore services



Have a minimum of 3 years experience programming with:

C#

Visual Studio

.Net Framework

Web services

Sharepoint Object Model



Have experience managing all code promotions (configuration management) across all system design life cycle including:

Installing custom portals and web parts through development, integration test, staging, and production environments.

Be responsible for SharePoint Level 2 and level 3 support

Have previous experience working with customer’s internal business processes and developing detailed analysis of how to effectively deploy SharePoint Services throughout the enterprise environment.

Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members



Proficient in Microsoft .Net development tools

Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work well within a team environment

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.



Education:

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree, with coursework in the information processing or business-related curricula, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
