Description: Thomas-Matthew Associates, based out of Newtown, PA is a full service recruiting firm that specializes in providing individual attention to our clients and candidates.



This position is to join a team of software developers working on a Java-based assessment delivery application. The position involves design work, programming, testing, and documentation through the entire software development lifecycle. This developer will collaborate with other team members to add new modules to the application as well as design new functionality for the application based on requirements from other program groups within the company. This person may also participate in requirements gathering and analysis activities involving various program groups within the company to help in the design of the new modules and enhancements. This candidate may work on various engineering tasks including benchmarking and configuring of hardware devices.



Experience:

The ideal candidate must have 6+ years of total programming experience with at least 4 years of programming experience in JAVA. Knowledge and working experience of Oracle or SQL is also required.



•Full technical knowledge of all phases of software systems programming and design

•Full technical knowledge of object oriented programming

•Strong Java programming skills as well as strong technical knowledge of HTML, XML, JSP, EJB, J2EE, Swing, Servlets, Applets, SQL, and JDBC.

•6+ years of total programming experience with at least 4 years of programming experience in JAVA.

•Knowledge and working experience of Oracle or SQL is also required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include:

•Platform Tools: JRUN, WebSphere, WebStart, JBuilder, Eclipse

•Languages: Java, HTML, Swing, Applets, JSP, XML

•Operating Systems: Windows, UNIX/Linux
