Date Posted: 5/24/2005 Location: Princeton, New Jersey Division Information Technology Position #: IT05053 Job Type: Full Time Description -This position is for a senior level developer on the Enterprise Record Keeping System. The person filling this position will analyze business design specifications, write technical design documentation, code program modules, and thoroughly unit test their work. The position also entails maintenance and bug fix work. Under general supervision, designs, develops and maintains software applications to support business units. -Designs and develops software applications. -Maintains and supports existing software applications. -Identifies and resolves complex application issues and bugs. -Codes enhancements to existing applications. -Interacts with business areas to document business requirements and communicate project specifications; clarifies requirement-related issues as needed. -Develops or modifies procedures to solve complex business problems considering system limitations and capacity. -Tests new installations and/or software prior to release to minimize failures and impact to business and end users. -Provides subject matter expertise in reviewing, researching and resolving issues on specifications. -Provides technical support to end-users. -Assists with application production support. -Prepares user and systems documentation as needed. -Assists with special development projects as assigned. Qualifications: -Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or Business is required. -This position requires 5 or more years of application development experience and working knowledge of C/C++, Visual C++, MFC, Windows/WIN32, SQL and Oracle. -3-5 years of relevant experience including prior experience in a technology environment. -Prior experience developing financial applications is highly desirable. -Strong knowledge of programming languages. -Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills. -Strong communication skills. -Ability to work independently or collaboratively. -Ability to work under strict deadlines and adhere to a disciplined development process. -Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
