Genesis 10 is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a client assignment in Jersey City. Responsibilities: - Develop software components and systems based on technically sound design and that comply with acceptable standards. - Liaise with the author of requirements documents and functional specifications to clarify ambiguities. - Ensure that solutions are of high quality; e.g. accurately reflect the specifications and are thoroughly tested. - Exhibit or acquire appropriate business knowledge to provide adequate context to development tasks. - Provide software documentation in an appropriate format. - Resolve assigned tasks with minimal direction and proactively identify/resolve unassigned issues. - Contributor to architectural and design decisions. - Provide support of global production usage which requires off-hours access from home

Experience:
Expertise Mandatory: Core Java, Sybase, Unix, shell scripting, Good communication, Team player. Looking for 8+ yrs of experience w/financial companies (long tenure poitions desired). Must have exposure to either Fixed Income Trading Systems or Fixed Income Derivative Trading Systems. Developers working for team leads on OTC derivatives projects Server-side development in core Java. .NET experience would be a plus
