Description: Requisition Number : PHA8547 Job Title : SAS Programmer Interest Category : Information Technology Interest : Systems Operations Department : Information Services State : New Jersey City : Bridgewater Job Description : Position Summary: The primary objective for this position is to develop and implement SAS processes for the Quantum SAS environment, which is the SAS analytical data warehouse. The individual would also be responsible for coordination of data loads, ensuring timely processing and adherence to strict data quality checks. In addition, this individual would be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of SAS deliverables once the systems are in production. Role Responsibilities: . Develops and maintains all SAS and Unix code within the analytical data warehouse. . Provides guidance to other SAS resources during project implementation and maintenance by ensuring project deliverables are on time. . May be required to perform the duties as an administrator for the SAS environment. . Maintain and support the SAS Forecast Server and Enterprise Guide environments . Assess scope of the projects and performs technical design. . Ensures all documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and current. . Partners with the data quality control team to deliver timely and accurate information to business users. . May be required to assist with or assume other IS sales and marketing support responsibilities as deemed appropriate by management (e.g adhoc projects like testing, technical design etc.) . Demonstrates required competencies on a consistent basis . Demonstrates company values on a consistent basis . Performs other duties as requested Requirements : Education: . BA/BS required from an accredited school in Computer Technology Experience: . Experienced programmer, able to develop applications with little or no supervision using the following technologies - SAS and Unix. . Minimum 4 years experience in SAS and UNIX development required with 1 year in Sales and Marketing in the pharmaceutical industry required . Strong skills on Oracle 8i/9i databases including PL/SQL . 2+ years of data warehousing experience including back end development . Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry data, in particular IMS or NDC data experience is a plus Professional Skills: . Ability to manage sub-projects and prioritize to meet customer needs . Strong analytical and organizational skills required including attention to details . Good interpersonal and communication skills Language: . English
