Summary/Description Human Genome Sciences (HGS)is located in the Washington, DC metro area, and was founded in 1992 with the goal of creating a global biopharmaceutical company to discover, develop, manufacture, and market gene-based drugs to address unmet medical needs. We have a significant product pipeline with seven products in clinical development, including drugs to treat hepatitis C, lupus and other autoimmune diseases, anthrax exposure, and cancer. In recent years, we have progressed toward becoming a late stage development and commercialization company, and we have recently started Phase 3 trials for three of our key development programs. HGS is developing an innovative new treatment for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), which would be the first new treatment for lupus in nearly 40 years. You will provide leadership for the support of Product Costing based on knowledge of multiple modules in the HGS SAP environment. Your initial focus will be the functional implementation of Product Costing. This role will serve as a lead member of the HGS SAP team supporting the business needs of the corporation. All this in a firm that demands success in integrating solutions that assists in transitioning HGS from a start-up to a fully commercial organization in the Biotech industry. Requirements Requirements: .Works closely with team members of finance, production planning, materials management, IT and other HGS organizations in the implementation of product costing .Provide guidance and support for the HGS SAP platform based on strong cross functional understanding of FI/CO, PP, PS, and MM. .Identify gaps between business process requirements and functionality of the SAP application; recommend and document solutions, including design. .Experienced leadership and communication skills .Proven experience with Product Costing implementations .Implementation experience using the ASAP model .Leads cross-functional linked teams to address business needs and system issues .Bachelors degree with 7 years of experience in the SAP environment with at least 4 years specifically FICO and Product Costing .Works on complex problems with general direction .Independently develops approaches to satisfy business needs .Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred .Knowledge of other SAP functionality including, HR, CRM, BI, etc. .Experience with SAP implementations in the Pharmaceutical industry .Project Management experience .Demonstrated experience in Product Costing within ECC 6.0.
