Job ID: IIS111306 Description: Job Description: Provide on-going support at the identified site for fielded systems that must be continually operational, which occasionally are modified, upgraded or moved to more effective locations. Support the end-to-end process for these activities, which includes system monitoring for heath and status, generation and verification of new requirements, approvals, CM changes, documentation updates, system and network administration, and the installation of modifications and/or new systems in a timely fashion. Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provide support to IT systems including: day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client problems. Provide second level problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process. Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to management and internal customers.

Work with temporary duty (TDY) teams to assist in installation, verification and testing of upgrades and new systems. Interact with the customer and stakeholders, both over the telephone and in person, in a professional and tactful manner. Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring safety is the highest priority of the workplace.Will share on-call responsibilities with other System Analysts and may be required to return to site for emergency support.

Required Skills: * Participate in the development, staging, testing and installations of collection-based system hardware, software and networks. * Participate in the planning, staging and installation of system networks and system network upgrades. * Maintain system accountability and security. * Identify , collect and evaluate all applicable data relating to problems that reduce user performance and efficiency * Act as an interface between the user and analyst staff to resolve system problems. * Develop and maintain system-operating procedures. * Install software packages and ensure the system is operating properly. * Provide network maintenance support. * Must possess experience in one or more systems and architectures and associated hardware: mainframe, mini, or client/server based. Desired Skills: Previous experience is essential and must include practical working knowledge with the following: SUN Solaris, Linux, Brocade, Fiber Channel Admin, SAN, RAID, Windows 2000/XP and Windows 2003 Server, Active Directory, Cisco router installation and configuration, Network Administration including VLANs on Foundry Switches, COMMs and Secure COMMs, Remedy, HP Openview, Veritas Backup. Strong inter-personal and communication skills; capable of training users in complex topics, presenting to an internal audience. Independent problem solving; self-direction.Ability to work successfully in a diverse environment with Government, Military and other contractors. Ability to work successfully in a culturally diverse environment with US customers.

Required Education: BS in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6 years of relevant work experience. Work experience may substitute for educational requirements. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
