None Location Lanham, MD % Travel Relocation No Requirements *** This position is located in Suitland, MD **** The ESBU currently has an opening for an Oracle Developer. This candidate must be able to obtain a Title 13 clearance for working at Census Bureau. Job Description: SAIC provides Information Technology support and development services to the U.S. Bureau of the Census for the Year 2010 Census. We provide systems development and integration, systems acquisition (as required), software updates and upgrades, installation and training (as required), and Tier 2 and 3 help desk assistance. We are also responsible for overseeing the operation of and maintaining and upgrading the baseline BOC Beta Site infrastructure. This position administers, maintains, and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the availability, security and integrity of the database and developing supporting applications. This position plans and develops physical and logical data models, database design, and data access; and creates appropriate software code. Education: B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field or 6 years experience in lieu of degree. Required Skills: 5 years of development experience. Must have experience in full software development life cycle, including a thorough understanding of requirements, design, and application of software development best practices. Must possess strong Oracle skills, including at least 5 years hands-on experience with Oracle Database Development, Systems Integration and Configuration, Application Development, SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Loader, Oracle Reports, Oracle Application Server, and HTML. Experience in Oracle 9i and 10G on various platforms, including UNIX and other Oracle-supported platforms, is required. In addition, must have working experience with two or more of the following: Java, JDBC, Struts, JavaScript, Oracle Forms, Perl. Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder.
