Description: Aerotek is recruiting a Mechanical HVAC Design Engineer for our clients in the Rockville, MD area working on Laboratory Designs. Only qualified candidates will be considered. Job Description: 1-Experience with HVAC/ R coordination studies, mechanical analyses, loads analysis and design and performing site assessments. 2-Facility design experience, preferably hospital/healthcare, psychiatric ward and/or laboratory design. Will design mechanical systems, HVAC units, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air distribution units, ducting layouts, plumbing systems, drainage systems, sprinkler piping, exhaust terminations and other mechanical projects for medical/ healthcare facility applications. 3-CAD experience preferred. They use AutoCAD and moving into Revit 4-Experience performing calculations with mechanical loads/ load analysis SW. (Trane Trace 700, Carmel, MeMate, etc). Other HVAC equipment calculation software is fine as well. 5-Must be comfortable working in a small team and relatively independently. 6-Must have strong customer service skills and be able to effectively communicate project progress with clients through presentations, correspondence and written reports. Requirements: 1.BSME (Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering) required. 2.Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the industry required 3.EIT or PE preferred but not required. 4.Familiar with relevant mechanical building codes IBC, NFPA, BOCA, etc.
