Description: TEKsystems is currently looking for a Sr. PowerBuilder/PL-SQL resource for Columbia Maryland. Consultant will be responsible for full life cycle development on existing Client Servicer applications. We do not have any candidates pre-selected for this position. All existing applications consist of a PowerBuilder 10 interface, Oracle running in a UNIX environment and SQL Server. Duties will include working with clients to understand requirements and determine best solutions to meet those requirements. Consultant will work with other developers on design and implementation of various enhancements to our legacy applications. Candidate must have good oral and writing communication skills, be able to write documentation and unit test plans. Candidate should be able to do application development independently. The existing applications have been around for over 10 years, and a number of enhancements will be required on top of these legacy applications. The appropriate candidate should be able to quickly review and understand the existing application and build on top of it. Work required will consists of 60% PowerBuilder and 40% backend development in Oracle-PL*SQL, SQL Server, and UNIX. Join TEKsystems® and get your career on the fast track.
