The Sr .NET Developer will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of components of a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) for business oriented applications which enables our optimization and ad serving technologies. This position will be a member of the Back Office Platform Team that replaces legacy applications developed in a variety of technologies as well as develops new services in the C# and Microsoft .NET environments. The ideal candidate will not only be well versed in objected oriented design and programming (OOD/OOP), SOA and the software design lifecycle (SDLC), but will also have outstanding coding skills and a strong desire to learn. This engineer will work together with other team members to ensure that software solutions meet stated quality, performance, and business goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: . Lead implementations of enterprise software using layered architecture components to stated business and technical goals o Create robust, scalable, maintainable software solutions o Create solutions that deal effectively with extremely large volumes of data o Communicate effectively in both verbal (day-to-day discussions, team meetings) and written forms (requirements and design specifications) o Create, assign, and manage technical tasks, documentation, and time information per company and team standards o Accurately assess project risks associated with development activities . Develop solutions using distributed technologies such as: Web Services, .Net Remoting, MSMQ, and Enterprise Services . Perform various duties that advance the capabilities of the Back Office team: o Support the development of other team members from a professional and technical level o Accurately assess work efforts required to implement solutions o Lend support to various business and technology teams as necessary during design, development and delivery to ensure solid, scalable, robust solutions Required Skills: . Experience in the creation of business logic and service-oriented architectures . Demonstrated strong team leadership skills on software development projects . Ability to coach, mentor and train software developers in a technical organization . Distinguished experience in C#, C++, or Java programming (C# preferred) . Experience with .Net 2.0 Platform, XML, and PL/SQL . Experience with design patterns and message oriented patterns for SOA . Demonstrated attention to detail in software implementation . Experience in executing a software implementation plan . Thorough understanding of object-oriented design principles . Excellent English communications skills . Effectively manage multiple priorities Desired Characteristics: . Experience in coding cross-cutting concerns like Exception, Logging, Instrumentation, and Security for the enterprise applications . Experience with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) . Experience with Continuous Integration system, build process and deployment strategies . Demonstrated ability to reverse engineer legacy applications . Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment . Ability to learn new applications and processes quickly are also necessary for this position Education / Experience: . Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, AND . Minimum of five (5) years of experience in software design, OR . Relevant combination of education and experience.
