Description: This position requires expertise in a Linux real-time embedded environment using object-oriented design and analysis methodologies and C++. Experience building and tuning for real time Linux Kernels, writing Kernel level device drivers with emphasis on real time processing, and general Linux systems and networking real time software programming is required. Experience with KDAPL and UDAPL protocol layer kernel device drivers for Linux is desired. Experience with multicore processors is required. Knowledge of open standards such as CORBA (ACE/TAO) and DDS (OpenDDS) and their application is also required. This position requires a BS and/or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics with 10 - 15 years experience in software development. The position requires the application of advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. The candidate will work on complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious and determine and pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. The candidate will serve as an advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications. A DoD Secret security clearance is required with the ability to get a higher clearance in a timely manner.
