Description: Our client is a large stable company. They are currently developing new hardware and software for an existing product line of instrumentation. Aavalar Consulting has been exclusively engaged to provide an expert developer with Labview experience to develop automated testing programs for new hardware components. This is a high priority situation because our client is ramping up and the workload is becoming overwhelming.



A job description follows:



Title: Labview Test Automation Developer



Work Location: Wilmington DE



Is Telecommuting possible? No



Work environment: Cube in a suburban office building with a nice atmosphere and great parking. Commute is off the beaten path.



Who does this position will report to?: Director of Engineering



What is the start date?: ASAP



What is the size of department?: 3 within a large SW development department



What projects will the consultant be involved with?:

Automated Instrument Control and Automated test of new hardware components



Responsibilities:

Take production code and modify it for use in a test harness.

Develop new software for testing new components.



Role with the group: Developer - Individual Contributor - No management



Required Skills:

Experience developing instrument control routines with LabView.

Real time or process control or instrument control experience

Experience developing SW in a Microsoft environment (.NET is not necessary)



Desired Skills:

C/C++ or C# development experience

BSEE, Computer Engineering, or BS Computer Science
