As an Application Developer, you will provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications within mature technology environments. You will utilize mature (3rd or 4th Generation) programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply to Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps. You will also adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications. Additionally, you will identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user margin-BOTTOM: 0px"Work with established technical specifications to develop and deliver defined functionality under the supervision of an application Technical Lead. Read and understand business requirements, write functional requirements, develop detailed technical designs, and build / unit / system test application code. Support the changes/applications post implementation by debugging, fixing, and participating in maintenance releases as prescribed by management. The candidate should be able to interact effectively with project managers, developers, tech leads, technical operations, etc. The ideal candidate will possess: * Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and work ethic * Exceptional technical skills. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong desire to learn new technologies and applications along with the ability to adapt to very challenging environments. Required Skills: * Ability to translate business requirements into functional requirements margin-BOTTOM: 0px"Desired Skills: * 3+ years experience with JMS and Messaging Products (preferably WebSphere MQ). * 3+ years experience working with Web Services (preferably using WebLogic or Apache Axis). * Exposure to Open Source technologies (Ant, Anthill, Junit, XDoclet, Log4J, IBatis). * Strong working knowledge of Oracle RDBMS.
